About the role
The role holder supports the local and country Management Teams with their key people/HR challenges and holds the responsibility for all employees in the Netherlands and one production facility in Malle, Belgium. He/she leverages and liaises with his/her direct reports and other HR colleagues globally to deliver the desired outcome. The role holder will be required to understand the people strategy set by the HR Director and is responsible for executing HR activities within the respective organizations in Zundert (NL), Nuth (NL) and Malle (BE). The main workplace will be in Malle, with a regular presence in our other sites to collaborate with the local HR and management teams.
Key responsibilities include
Local HR Management: Act as a single point of contact for the Country Management Team (Netherlands) and the local Management Team (ECC, Malle), leveraging the HR Officers, service providers, and global HR colleagues to coordinate and take ownership for the employees within your scope. Provide support in implementing and delivering on the people strategy and setting the right standards for the future.
Project management: Work closely with the local business and Global HR to understand and address issues for your scope and provide proactive advice and steer projects in line with our overall HR strategy.
Leadership development: Advise and coach your business on leadership and people management processes (performance management, engagement, personal development) to ensure effective employer-employee relations.
Employee relations: Manage the key operational HR processes in the business and work closely with key stakeholders (Plant Managers) to determine local needs and address local specifics. Ensure employee requests and queries are handled efficiently for seamless HR administrative services.
Compensation & benefits: Implement compliant compensation & benefits policies within your scope in close collaboration with Global Rewards, local employer organizations, works councils, and trade unions.
Change management: Coordinate and take ownership for specific initiatives (e.g. organizational transformation and change) in close alignment with the main business stakeholders. Act as an advocate for standardization in the execution of HR policies focusing on operational excellence.
Talent & Performance management: Lead the Performance-, Talent Review- & Succession Planning process for your scope.
Labor relations: Serve as the spokesperson for our unions and the workers council in the Netherlands and Malle, Belgium.
Management teams: Join the meetings with the different Management Teams of the different organizations within your scope of responsibility.
Lead: Report directly to the Director HR Operations North West Europe and manage 1 direct report and 2 indirect reports, services based in Zundert and Malle.
About you
5+ years of experience as HR Manager and/or HR Business Partner (employee engagement, talent management, change management, organizational design, communication, performance management, unions, etc.)
Solid knowledge of Dutch or Belgian legislation, preferably both.
Experience in working in/with a production (blue collar) environment.
Strong focus on operational excellence and standardizing processes and HR procedures, preferably implementing HR services.
Ability to co-create and implement local HR procedures and practices compliant with local requirements, paired with strong forward-thinking and action.
Ability to co-drive culture, engagement and employee development programs.
Strong, decisive personality with the ability to challenge business decisions.
Integer and trustworthy.
Well-developed convincing and communication skills.
Easy to relate to and approachable for all levels of the organization.
Willing to travel to different locations within The Netherlands and Belgium on a recurring basis.
Fluent in English and Dutch.
