Chief Officer

N-Sea is looking for a Chief Officer to join our team. As a Chief Officer at N-Sea, you will ensure compliance with company policies, flag state legislation, and relevant international and local regulations. Oversee tasks related to deck maintenance, repairs, stock keeping, lifesaving appliances, firefighting equipment, navigation, and watch keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that procedures are followed within company policies;
• Keep watch at sea in compliance with the IMO requirements;
• Arrange harbor watch;
• Control and maintain all files and records relating to this discipline;
• Familiarize new crew, project personnel and passengers;
• Control and maintain the hospital and its inventory;
• Supervise activities on deck and to ensure that unsafe working practices are avoided;
• Control all door and cabinet keys on board the vessel;
• Ensure that sufficient and adequate deck and galley stores are available;
• Ensure upkeep and administration of all hoisting and rigging equipment;
• Ensure proper hand-over to his successor.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Chief Officer or in a similar maritime role;
• Experience with DP system is a must;
• Must be available approximately on the 25th of July;
• Understanding the Dutch language is mandatory;
• Strong understanding of navigation systems and charts;
• Familiarity with maritime laws and regulations;
• Excellent leadership and communication skills;
• Ability to pass a medical examination and maintain physical fitness;
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies.
